Can a Blog Scoop Fox News?

These days news travels fast and Bloggers want to get as many views as they can.

So, sometimes the post news that is only rumor. We thought this was a great time to watch and see.

A few sources (blogs) have said Fidel Castro might be dead

The babalublog just posted “Various sources inform that an announcement will come within the next few minutes from the Cuban government on Cuban TV and media” and more.

Here is another blog http://www.killcastro.com/blog/2007/08/barba-cucaracha.html

I am looking at both Fox News and CNN, thanks Slingbox, and there is nothing about it there.

Rumor, Bloggers trying to get views or just a mistake. Time will tell. :)

Update: According to here: “Rumors circulating around South Florida of Fidel Castro’s death are unfounded according to multiple sources. ”

Sounds like the rumors are starting to fall apart…

    1. A blog may scoop the mainstream press, but until it is confirmed by the Mainstream media, most people will only consider it as a rumor.

Most people still treat the Internet as a rumor mill, and the MSM as an Authority…Wikipedia ain’t no authority, nor is a blog.

    2. I hear ya! Dog!
Just for fun, we are gonna check the main stream news and see whats up.
Wikipedia, IMHO, is the last place to consider an authority.
